For one of Italy’s leading producers of brioches and muffins, Klimagiel designed a tailor-made solution to improve product cooling times prior to packaging.
The problem?
Once baked, the cakes travelled on conveyor belts to the packaging room. However, the length of the route was not sufficient for them to cool completely, making the product unsuitable for packaging.
The Klimagiel solution:
We designed 36 lenticular channels in micro-perforated fabric, 1000 mm in diameter, in yellow. The channels were fixed directly onto the conveyor belt structure using special aluminium profiles and distributed cold air evenly along the entire length.
Why lenticular?
The reduced height of the structure did not allow for the use of classic semi-circular ducts. The lenticular profile proved to be the perfect choice for distributing air even in confined spaces.
The result?
Reduced cooling times, faster packaging, no production stoppages and real savings for the customer, who avoided costly structural modifications.
When personalisation really makes a difference.
